Sightseeing – Island Life

While visiting the Lasqueti Island Hotel, we encourage our visitors to take in the abundance of community events to get a true taste of the culture and beauty of our island.

Lasqueti Island lies in the Georgia Strait of the BC Pacific ocean, just north of French Creek (on Vancouver Island) and southwest of Texada Island.

It is approximately 8 KM wide by 22 KM long.

It is only accessible by passenger ferry, private boat or floatplane.

Roadways are unpaved and there is no public transportation.

With no waste services, Lasqueti Island is a pack-out-what-you-pack-in community.

Camping on the island is prohibited.

Lasqueti Island is home to approximately 350 residents.

There are no electricity services so only alternative power sources are used.
